Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association

The Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association happily announces the opening of a trails centre located on the north side of the West Bragg parking lot.  The new trails centre will serve as a gathering point and as a warming hut for the many users who access the West Bragg trails.

With the Trails Centre, the WBC trail network now meets all the parameters for clubs that like to plan trips to trail areas that have good parking (including for a bus), toilet facilities, a warm-up shelter, and trails for different activities such as XC skiing and snowshoeing at a variety of skill/endurance levels.

Back in September Calgary Cycle teamed up with Devinci and organized a bike raffle to benefit the local trail associations around Calgary. The strategy was simple, canvas the trails, the shops, everywhere possible - with a $10.00 donation you received an entry into a draw for a Carbon Devinci Django RS.

Over $10,000.00 was raised and will be split between the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance, Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association, and Moose Mountain Bike Trails Society

Paving is expected to begin on October 31, 2016 on West Bragg Road, approximately 1.3 km, from the KID Boundary to the West Bragg Creek Provincial Recreation Area parking lot.

Paving on West Bragg Road will improve access for local residents and recreationalists.

Public should be aware that equipment and trucks will be accessing the area.
