Trans Canada Trail (West Bragg Road)
NEW!! TRANS CANADA TRAIL
Dec 5, 2015 Update:
Phase 1 of the TransCanada Trail has been completed. A few small items still need to be cleaned up next spring when the ground thaws however it is very usable, it looks fantastic and it is great to see folks and families already enjoying it. Phase 1 of the West Bragg Creek TransCanada Trail is a little over 2.5 Kms long and goes from the bridge over the Elbow River to Range Road 52. Along the trail you will find a small fitness area with a couple of benches, 5 signs showing some basic exercises that one can easily do with items commonly found along a trail and a chin-up bar. This is located in a beautiful stretch of forest now being referred to as the 'enchanted forest'.

Redwood Trail incurred significant damage between Redwood Meadows and Bragg Creek. Redwood community now has an active trails group that are looking at getting this trail repaired and recognized as an official trail. Thank you Shana Barbour-Welsh for putting this all together. GBCTA have been in numerous discussions with Redwood and Alberta Trail Net to provide assistance as well as to help with the TransCanada Trail interconnection.
